3. Fred Basset. I apparently do not understand English humor because I have always been particularly baffled by this one, a perennial favorite in the Chicago Tribune. As far as I can tell, 90-95% of strips consist of Fred wanting to go for a walk and either a) going or b) not going.
A thrill a minute, that one!! Oh, those wacky Brits!
