Comcast

karmcity:

So, remember all my Comcast woes? Well, complete suckage they are not.

Comcast controls a user account on Twitter called “comcastcares” where a support rep continually monitors tweets people send to it and fixes problems if necessary.

I typed: @comcastcares:5 months of you agreeing that I don’t owe you money, but still sending me bills. How do I fix something like that?

Within minutes, I was told to send an e-mail to a special Comcast address. 10 minutes after that, I was called by a real, live support rep who was glad to help.

I finally found a use for Twitter.

I am glad Comcast is keeping up with the times, but this strikes me as yet another example of them asking you to use online media to contact them about a problem with your Internet. I know you can text to Twitter, but it sounds like they require you to follow up via email — which is hard when your service isn’t working….sigh. I am not sold yet.
